Bangladesh cricket icon Mashrae Bin Mortaza, who was unofficially elected MP from Narail-2 in the just held 11th national election, has expressed his unwillingness to compromise with cricket until ICC World Cup in 2019.
"I’ll join the practice session for Rangpur Riders at BPL. And no compromise with cricket until 2019 World Cup," said the ODI captain.
Mashrafe came up with the comment in his post-election reaction at a community centre in Narail district town on Monday.
"Emphasis will be given on collective works instead of personal ones. I, myself, will look into the matter to ensure the use of grant to come in Narail," he added.
Mashrafe also placed floral wreath at the mural of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the old bus terminal area.
Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was elected unofficially from Narail-2 by a huge margin in the 11th parliamentary elections held on Sunday.
