Awami League (AL) president Sheikh Hasina has urged countrymen to cast votes for her party to save country’s democracy, secularism and development pace.
She asked people to be alert to resist any bid to foil the 11th parliamentary elections tomorrow.
Sheikh Hasina also urged all concerned to play due roles to ensure free and fair polls.
Hasina, also Prime Minister, made the call as she went to see party s ailing leader Dr Mahabubul Islam in a city hospital today.
At least seven Awami League men have been killed and 450 injured by BNP leaders and activists recently, she said, adding the BNP-Jamaat supporters are making clandestine attacks on ruling party people and establishments.
She suggested her party s leaders and activists to handle the situation in such a way that opposition BNP and its allies do not get any scope to retreat from polls contest.
