A case was filed on Sunday with a Dhaka court against six persons including BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman and its secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir over an alleged attack on Jananetri Parishad president AB Siddiqui.

“I was stopped by four/five youths in Tantibazar area near lower court on April 30. They started manhandling me and torn my dress. All the time they were saying that BNP senior leaders following the order of Tarique Rahman, directed them to compel me to withdraw cases I lodged against them.
They threatened me to withdraw the cases or face same fate as Nusrat,” Siddiqui told BSS.
He further said while leaving the area, the goons took his Mujib Coat and Taka 2200 from him and said they are giving him one month time to withdraw all the cases.
