Several actors have slipped into the director’s hat starting from Kangana Ranaut to Aamir Khan. However, Shah Rukh Khan is in no mood to be on the other side of the camera just yet, and one of the reasons for this is his tiny tot AbRam, reports India Today.
In an interview with a leading publication, Shah Rukh admitted that direction was ’difficult’ for him. ’I can imagine what the story is going to be like. However, I don’t ’really know’ it. I believe that if you are going to helm a film then you should be aware of the plot. You’ve to be able to say confidently ’this is what my story is,’ he said.
Shah Rukh said that in his head, the story is not watertight. ’My thing is I’m assuming the possibilities. But sometimes, I haven’t tied up all the loose ends,’
Being a doting father to his little son AbRam is also a reason why Shah Rukh is not keen on venturing into direction right now. ’I’ve a little one right now. So, if I became a director, I would be locked in a room for two years, which is not a good thing to do at present. Sitting with AbRam and trying to write a story will be impossible. I don’t want to miss out on his growing up years,’ he said.
Shah Rukh will soon start shooting for Mahesh Mathai’s Saare Jahaan Se Achcha, which will bring the story of cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma, the first Indian to travel into space, alive on celluloid on the work front. Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala will produce the biopic under their banners Roy Kapur Films and RSVP Films, respectively.
