An activist of Bangladseh Chhatra League (BCL) was stabbed to death by rivals over a cricket match in Boran Munshi Para road area in Tongi on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Prince Mahmud Nahid, a resident of Datta Para area, son of Jahirul Islam.
Shuvo Mandal, sub-inspector of Tongi East Thana, said that some rival men attacked Nahid around 8:30 pm and stabbed him indiscriminately following enmity over a cricket match, leaving him critically injured.
Later, the injured died on the way to Dhaka.
On information, police recovered the body.
