Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Thursday said we failed to maintain traffic discipline on Dhaka roads. DMP Commissioner said this at a view-exchanging programme on Traffic Discipline and Awareness, at Mohanagar Natya Mancha, in Dhaka’s Gulistan on Thursday.
Strict actions will be taken against unfit vehicles and no random parking will be allowed in the city, he added.
Earlier On Tuesday, a first year student of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) was killed in an accident in front of Jamuna Future Park in capital.
Abrar’s death sparked a massive protest by students from different universities, who have been holding demonstrations by blocking the streets in different parts of Dhaka, demanding justice for Abrar and capital punishment for those responsible.
Later on Wednesday, some protesters postponed their demonstrations by a week, until March 28.
